Stress Relief

In today’s world one of the biggest problems we face is stress. I think that is why we have so many couch potatoes out there.

The truth is watching T.V. is a temporary stress cure.

Watching television may be a form of relaxation for some, but is not a recommended method by experts.

When we watch TV we are bombarded with commercials, ads, sounds and images. So how do we achieve relaxation?

If there are thousands of ways we can get stressed, one of them is not meeting deadlines; there are also many ways we can relax.

Heart disease is linked to anger and irritability is linked to mental stress. Too much stress brings about ischemia that can lead to or cause a heart attack. Knowing this takes on great importance in light of this matter. Managing your anger and attitude is significant to heart health, and relaxation can help you manage stress.

One way of relaxation is transcendental meditation. New studies have also shown that this method might reduce artery blockage, which is a major cause for heart attack and stroke. People practice transcendental meditation by repeating soothing sounds while meditating; this is to achieve total relaxation. Researchers found that people who practiced transcendental meditation significantly reduced the thickness of their arterial walls.

Acupuncture is another practice that seems to reduce high blood pressure by causing the brain to release endorphins, which help to relax muscles, ease panic, decrease pain, and reduce anxiety.

The practice of Yoga is also another method for relaxation and many of the yoga techniques use breathing excersizes

Breathing is one of the easiest methods to relax. Breathing influences almost all aspects of us, it affects our moods and our body. Simply focus on your breathing, after some time you can feel its effects right away.

There are several breathing techniques that can help you reduce stress.

In a new study participants were subjected to various relaxation techniques, such as listening to nature sounds or Classical music. The Yoga subjects significantly reduced the time it took for their blood pressures to go back to their normal rate. Yoga works deeper and can relax you more than easy listening music.

And of course the easiest way to achieve relaxation is exercise. A steady half-hour of exercise will often mellow you out and relax your whole body and mind.

My favorite is getting a deep muscle massage which can help you gain total relaxation. In fact when I go I don't want to leave.

A professional therapist can make the difference in your whole attitude and change your outlook on the day.

Another method of relaxation is Biofeedback. The usual biofeedback-training program include several sessions that go on for a few weeks.

Hypnosis is one controversial relaxation technique. It is a good alternative for people who think that they have no idea what it feels like to be relaxed. It is also a good alternative for people with stress related health problems.

Stress is also a cause for immune system to wear down so aside from lowering our blood pressure and decreasing

The chances of a stroke or a heart attack, relaxation techniques produce hormones that give the immune system time to recover and function more efficiently.

The brain needs to have times of no input from all the things that we get bombarded with in our every day lives.

Stress relief can really be of good use once a relaxation technique is implemented into your lifestyle.

Experiment with different technique or techniques that seem to work the best for you and start a weekly routine, your physical and emotional life depend on it.
